Othman Nasrou, Secretary General of the Republicans, was a guest on Franceinfo's weekend morning show on Sunday, June 15.

Following his one-year prison sentence in the wiretapping scandal, former French President Nicolas Sarkozy has officially been stripped of his Legion of Honour. He becomes the second person to be stripped of this distinction after Marshal Pétain. Questioned on this subject, the Secretary General of the Republicans, Othman Nasrou, expressed his support for the former president: “ I want to express my support for Nicolas Sarkozy, (...) It is a disgrace for a president who does not deserve this type of decision, ” declared Othman Nasrou.

War has been declared between Israel and Iran, and Emmanuel Macron supports the Jewish state's right to defend itself while condemning Israeli policy in Gaza. "The real issue is Iran's access to a nuclear bomb; it's an unthinkable idea for many countries in the world, not just Israel, but also Europe and therefore France, " he said.
